UT Extension: Tennessee Farm and Family Wellness

Strengthening Rural Communities

Strengthening Rural Communities

Overview

The Tennessee Farm Family Health and Wellness Program (FFHW) is a UTIA Ext Master Producer certification program and is designed to make long-term health investments in Tennessee farm families and their communities and to provide farm families with the tools to cope and thrive with the unique challenges and stresses facing farm families. FFHW was developed with survey feedback and input from Ag Agents, FCS Agents, Farmers, and Farm Family members. Farm family stress is recognized by the TN Dept of Agriculture as an important issue to address and this program is the only Master Producer Program eligible for TAEP cost sharing on all three applications.
